Austrian Death Machine to play Kupd's 'end of summer scorcher'
Austrian Death Machine - the side project of As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis - has been confirmed to play Kupd's End of Summer Scorcher on Saturday, September 20 at the Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Arizona. This all-day music festival will feature two stages with performances by Alice In Chains, Deftones, Five Finger Death Punch, Theory Of A Deadman, Ra, Tantric, Black Stone Cherry, Another Black Day and more. Doors are at 1:00 p.m. and show starts at 2:00 p.m. Commented Lambesis: "Ahhnold has taken a break from action movies for quite some time spurring much anticipation of his return to brutality. My friends at Kupd have sped up this process with their support for Ahhnold's band Austrian Death Machine every morning. Now Ahhnold will one-up everyone's expectation and return more brutal than ever combining thrash metal with action inducing live fury for the Kupd End of Summer Scorcher. "Total Brutal", the debut album from Austrian Death Machine, sold 3,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 179 on The Billboard 200 chart.
According to Lambesis, Austrian Death Machine is "a tribute to the great Arnold [former actor and current California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger] movies. It is a band fronted by Ahhnold with music I wrote and recorded in my free time. But, most importantly, I had so much fun!"
He added, "Whenever a new band comes out I often hear it said, 'that's exactly what you'd expect from a heavy band.' I beg to differ. Austrian Death Machine is exactly what you should hear from a heavy band.
